Repairs & technical assistance
From a stopped hoist to a complete overhaul: Zella Cranes diagnoses, repairs and modernizes lifting equipment on site or in our workshop, restoring safe operation as quickly as possible.
Breakdown repair
A crane failure is always urgent. Our technicians diagnose on site — mechanical, electrical or both — and carry out the repair with the correct components. Typical interventions include hoist and trolley faults, brake replacement and adjustment, limit switch and safety device repair, control panel faults, radio remote control issues, wheel and rail problems, and rope or chain replacement by competent persons.
Workshop repair when field work is not enough
Some work cannot be done properly on site: machining of large components, complete overhauls of hoisting groups, re-winding of motors, structural welding with the right tolerances. When field repair is not practical or economical, our own service vehicles — including trucks fitted with cranes — transport the components safely to our workshop, where they are repaired under controlled conditions and returned tested.
Custom components when spares are unavailable
When an original spare part is no longer available, our engineering section can design and manufacture a custom or handcrafted replacement — with the option of official certification in accordance with the applicable standards. Where original parts exist, we fit original and widely tested components, and all waste generated by our work is disposed of properly.
Scale calibration & certification
Through selected certified partner companies we can also extend service to industrial weight scales: calibration, maintenance, repair and written certification — a natural complement for plants where cranes feed weighing stations.
Modernization of existing installations
Where a crane is structurally sound but technologically dated, targeted upgrades restore performance and safety without replacing the machine:
- Replacement of the hoisting group
- Electrical system renewal, including control panels and cabling
- Radio remote control installation
- Weighing systems and load indicators
- Upgrades of safety devices and limit switches
Repairs that respect the machinery framework
Repair and maintenance operations that keep the machine compliant with its safety requirements are part of normal upkeep. Where an intervention changes the machine in a way that was not foreseen by the manufacturer and affects its safety, the applicable machinery rules for modifications have to be considered — we help you judge each case correctly before work starts.
